Bright Beginnings Child Care Center Alabama, has been completed and will open August 5, 2013. Applications for enrollment are now being accepted for the 2013-2014 school year. The center will accept children from 6 weeks to 12 years. Hours of operation will be from 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday - Friday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bright Beginnings is providing parents with hours that accommodate their work schedule so they can keep their children in the community instead of having to take them out of town for child care. Choosing child care is one of the most important decisions a parent will make. The center has over 3,000 square-feet and will provide nine classrooms (2 - infant, 4 - toddler, 2 - preschool and 1 - before/after school), laundry, kitchen and a play yard. One of the main goals of Bright Beginnings is to provide an environment that fosters physical, emotional and cognitive growth. Days at the center include: reading time, numbers and letters, arts and crafts, outdoor play time, nutritious and delicious meals and snacks, personal care, manipulatives and puzzles, and music and dance. The curriculum is also adjusted and tailored to grow with each individual child's development. The infant program will include developmentally age appropriate learning and the toddler and preschool program will consist of the Alpha-Omega Horizon Preschool Curriculum. There will be a program for school age children to catch the bus at the center in the mornings and be dropped off in the afternoons. There is a secure fenced playground with fun activities from tunnels, swings and climbing apparatus to areas for sand and water play. The center has been completely remodeled and has the most up to date accommodations to include a video surveillance system for the children's safety and to give parents peace of mind. Each classroom has its own bathroom. All classrooms will also have its own direct exit to the outside in the event of an emergency. Bright Beginnings is offering affordable childcare that includes breakfast, lunch, snacks and curriculum materials in a safe, secure and loving environment.
