Poko Loko Early Learning Center

My husband and I visited and interviewed a handful of childcare centers earlier in the year in preparation for our first child. We initially laughed at the name and didn't take it seriously until we visited. As soon as we walked in we were warmly greeted and made to feel as if our child was already a part of the Poko Loko family even though he wasn't born yet. The facility is bright and colorful, with many interactive wall decorations to stimulate the children. It is also super clean, spotless even. They have a bench and cubbies outside of each classroom for shoes so all of the rooms are free from dirt and debris that would otherwise get brought in on the bottom of shoes.
Our son started just two weeks ago in one of the infant rooms at just 7 weeks of age. The staff made me feel comfortable and at ease on that first day dropping him off. I am a breastfeeding mom so I come during my lunch hour to nurse, and they make me feel welcome the whole time. I walk right in, grab my baby and situate ourselves in the rocker. Miss Ida is amazing with the newborns and you can tell she truly loves her job. She keeps them all calm and happy so whenever I enter the room, it's always so quiet except for a few baby giggles and soft lullaby music playing in the background.
We're excited that we found Poko Loko and gave them a chance because we wouldn't be as happy and satisfied at any other facility. Our son will be growing up with the Poko Loko family.
