I worked with agencies who assist individuals with special needs for over 24 years. I graduated in 2017 as a Surgical Technologist and work at a local surgery center. I love my job, but I miss the personal interaction and hands on care. My 24+ years were in a group home setting with individuals ranging in age from 17-75. I worked in a house specifically for boys with autism and hearing impairments for 2 years. I spent 10 years in homes where physical behaviors were a severe problem. The rest of the homes were varied degrees and types of special needs. I cannot imagine there is too much I have not encountered or experienced. There is nothing that I feel uncomfortable doing. I was certified to pass medication and in SCIP (which I could still do with my eyes closed). I am currently certified in CPR and Basic Life Support. Although I chose to further my education in the medical field, I miss this work. I would love the opportunity to care for your loved one

I am a second year nursing student. I have extensive experience caring for children with autism and ADHD. I have cared for a disabled teenage girl with developmental delays and motility limitations. In this job, I have been trained to transport the child (who is 50+ pounds), catheterize her, use her G-tube, and feed her. I love working with disabled children and hope to continue caring for them throughout my career.

I have a master's degree in special education, and have taught children of various ages and abilities. I have taught in full classrooms, small groups, and in 1:1 settings. My stepdaughter is 20, daughter is 19, son is 14, and stepson is 10. I have been a home health aide for a senior adults. I have worked in group home for individuals with special needs, (both adult and child placements).

I have worked with multiple special needs children in my Daycare's. Mostly with autism. I've extremely patient and I am a quick learner.

I have a lot of experience working with children who are developmentally disabled. I have worked in a school for the developmentally disabled for three yeas as a classroom aid. I have spent most of my time there in a preschool or K-2 classroom, but I can say I have been in almost every classroom at least once. I also had a foster brother who had CP who lived with me for a few years and I assisted a lot with his caregiving.

I'm an assistant teacher at a daycare, I have experience from newborns all the way up to school age children. I have been at my daycare for about a year now and I absolutely love working with children. I am CPR certified and I also have experience with children with special needs. I'm going to college for Early Childhood Education, I have a lot of knowledge about it! I would only be able to work 2 or 3 days out of the week because I'm still at my daycare but I would love to pick up more hours being a nanny!!

I am a recent college graduate with an Early Childhood Education and a Special Education degree. I have volunteered with children in many situations such as at camps and day cares or tutoring students in school. My summer jobs have been working as a teacher aide in summer school for children with special needs. Growing up I babysit many younger cousins and neighborhood families. I have a passion for working with children and I love to see them be happy, smile, and learn. I understand that kids deserve to be kids and that adults are there to guide their learning and to show them by example how to respect others. I am energetic, fun, creative, and confident when working with children. Lastly, I understand that both you and your children may be struggling in this time of uncertainty but I will strive my best to help with an concerns/fears and do my best to provide a happy and safe environment for you little ones.

Hi! I am a 21-year-old college student who is an aspiring speech pathologist. I love working with children. I have had many babysitting jobs through high school and throughout my college career. I was a Bay Shore Youth cheer leading coach throughout my four years of High School and loved every second of it. On the weekends I also volunteered my time to play with special needs children at St. Peters by the Sea Church in Bay Shore. I take care of my niece and nephew whenever my sister needs help. While I take care of your children, my attention will be solely on them. I don't like to have my phone around and using it while I watch children because they will not receive 100% of me. I love all pets and I am able to help out with any school work, drive the kids around, household chores and whatever else you need me to do, I am there!
