Our daughter is special needs, she is autistic and non verbal. She also only eats instant oatmeal and yogurt. Overall she is a really sweet child and does not require a lot of attention just needs to be supervised, she usually prefers to play on her own and only needs assistance when she is hungry or has to use the bathroom. We are looking for someone who is patient and loving as kids with special needs have good days and bad, please let us know if youre interested and we can go from there, thanks.

have special needs daughter (down syndrome and autism) 11yo, developmentally 2-3yo. not potty trained. needs some help feeding and help with potty practice. she is very happy. minimally verbal but follows commands and has good comprehension. does some sign language. also have pets (1 dog, 2 cats) which should be nearly zero maintenance, which may be at our other house one or both of those weeks. need for 2 weeks M-F for 2 specific weeks. most likely would be like 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. reposting now that we have specific weeks. thanks!

Daily in-home care needed for 5-year-old girl (I.) during summer break. Child is special needs with delays in speech and fine motor and is actively potty training but still in diapers part of the time, which is why we're unable to do daycare. One parent works from home and can assist if needed. We're looking for someone who can manage activities and is okay taking her outside for short walks (all within small neighborhood). Since we're actively potty training, someone who is comfortable helping her get on the potty would be ideal. Her favorite way to spend time is reading, and we have a large playroom with lots of things to help keep her active.

We have two children, ages 8 and 5. We are in need of an in-home baby sitter every Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. throughout summer break. Summer break begins on Monday, May 29th and ends Monday, July 31st. We live in Augusta. We have a large fenced-in backyard with a trampoline and patio set. You can enjoy sitting outside with the children or inside watching their favorite TV shows with them. They also love Play-doh, coloring, and playing on their ipads. The oldest is very easy going and has Autism. The youngest is more of a free spirit. He may try to test a new babysitter with what he can get away with so it's important to us that our caregiver set firm boundaries from the beginning with him. We have one large dog (very friendly) but he will be crated in another room while the caregiver is in the home.

We are a Christian family of working professionals. Our special needs son Christopher is 25 years old and has Angelman Syndrome. He is a very healthy and happy young man. Christopher is non-verbal, non-ambulatory, but he can transfer from a wheelchair to other chairs with assistance. Christopher needs assistance with feeding and self care. He has his own handicap wing/suite in our home. We have support equipment that helps us care for him more easily. Our boy loves to climb and run and play with Legos. He's intelligent and well-worded and will give you a heck of a time. Loves to read. The youngest (the one you'd be sitting) will want to play with you the entire time. The older is legally allowed to be home alone but it didn't make sense to have a sitter for just one child. The older will want to sit and play video games the entire time. They are relatively easy children if you can handle a lot of noise and mischief!. Our ideal caregiver: S/he will be intelligent and trustworthy. Good with special needs kids. Flexible. My job requires evening classes and only one child can't be home alone; the other is legally allowed to be home alone but it wouldn't make sense to only have a sitter for one child and not the other. Additional needs include light housekeeping, being comfortable with pets, having a reliable car, a non-smoker. I have an 8 yr son who I am needing daycare for Thursday March 10th and Friday March 11th. On Thursday I need daycare from 1300 to approximately 1630 and on Friday I will need daycare from 0900 to approximately 1630. My son is high functioning autism. He does not require any assistance and is completely independent.

We are looking for fulltime care for our 2-year-old son who has epilepsy and some developmental delays. He can do most things neuro-typical kids his age can do, however, he struggles with communication, feeding himself (with utensils), and some fine motor skills. My wife and I are both active duty military, so we would primarily need care during the day on week days. He has several physical, occupational, and speech therapy appointments on a weekly basis, which roughly puts the start of most days at 1000 or 1100, hours listed. Each day would end around 5 p.m. We have two dogs and a cat, so any pet allergies would likely cause problems. But they're all sweet animals and the only danger they present is licking you to death. Any experience with special needs kids is a major plus! We look forward to meeting you!
