Our story: As a working, single-mother of three kids, Stacy Shannon faced the challenge of getting her kids to and from their various activities while balancing her work responsibilities. Stacy realized she was not alone in this struggle. Stacy found that parents across the nation, needed a safe and reliable option for their child s transportation. Other ride shares were not designed with the level of care and safety required for families. As a result, a new kind of service needed to be created. GoKart was designed for parents. The service offers parents with safety and reliability so that kids can get where they need to go, when they need to go. Parents can have peace of mind knowing their child is in good hands. GoKart hopes that by providing a safe and reliable option for child s transportation, kids can stay involved and engaged in school, activities and their community. In cases of separation, GoKart offers a seamless way for kids to get to and from their parents homes. For kids in the foster system, GoKart provides stability as it allows kids to attend their home school rather than transferring schools. GoKart was also designed to provide safe employment for local heroes. Whether those heroes be fire fighters, police officers, EMT or EMS, our company offers them employment in their off-duty hours. Driving for GoKart allows local heroes, who commonly face high-risk situations, to work in a less high-risk environment in off-duty hours. They continue to serve their community as they provide relief to parents and impact the lives of children. Furthermore, our service provides a way for stay-at-home parents to make extra income. With the ability to set their own hours, our service is readily available to parents that wish to stay at home with their children while also bringing in extra household income. As parents, our drivers understand the level of safety and care that a child s parents entrust in them as they drive their child to and from activities. Our first long term mission is to help children, of all needs, get to and from activities that they may not be able to have participated in without a means of transportation. Often, we see this with kids who have working parents, unable to leave the office. We also see it with foster care children, who rely heavily on the availability of social services.
