I have an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. I worked for Head Start Preschool for the past 5 years. I worked for many different daycare centers before that in infant toddler rooms, preschool and after school programs. I have taken everything I learned... likes and dislikes!... to make my preschool/ daycare the best! :) I went to a conference last fall and have plans on making a Nature Explore playground...very excited about that! I love going to conferences and workshops, we learn so much! We have an experienced, loving staff! Our preschool teacher was a Head Start teacher for 20 years, I worked with her in Head Start and am excited to be working with her again! Our ideas for what a preschool should be is the same, lots of hands on, flexible, being outside...to name a few things! I have my mother working here, she also worked with Head Start and runs the nursery at her church. She is retired as head supervising cook at Inland Lakes Schools. So we have some great meals around here! :) Oh, we do provide all meals and snacks. My daughter is working here as well... she is a cosmetologist and is taking time off to be with her 5 month old baby. Kids love her! Parents who came to the salon would compliment her on her skills with their children. I love having them both here! We are open 2 Saturdays a month for Story Time Saturday. The 1st Saturday of each month is designed for preschooler, ages 3 & 4. The 3rd Saturday of each month is designed for Toddlers ages 1 1/2 to 3. We try to come up with really fun themes for these...a Tea Party where you bring your favorite doll or teddy. Super Hero day, where we make capes. We are open 1 Friday a month, the 4th Friday of the month... a movie or game night. Movies like...The Lorax. Bingo night where you will win prizes! Everyone is trained and CPR/1st Aid and have extended background checks. We are an in home group daycare home.
