The center is open year round, Monday-Friday, 7:00 am -5:30 pm, except Federal holidays. Breakfast, lunch and snack are served daily and follow nutritional guidelines as set forth by the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). Our staff is highly trained in Early Childhood Development as well as CPR and First Aid Certified and must complete extensive background checks and fingerprinting. Safety and security are of utmost importance. The Northport VA has its own Police Department and Fire Department that provide additional security for our child care center. The Northport Day Camp (aka Camp Wee Luv Em) offers a full time summer camp as well as a school vacation camp for children in grades Kindergarten through 9th grade. To accommodate the needs of working parents, the summer camp is open the entire summer from 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Unlike other camps, there are NO sessions. Parents may choose which days or weeks they want their children to attend.
