I run an in-home daycare within the Hendrix Farms development in Raeford, NC. I have 3 children of my own, a 4 month old, a 2 year old and a 3 year old. I also currently watch an 8 month old. I am looking to watch one more child to have a total of 5 children in my care. I have a bachelors degree in Special Education and Elementary Education. I taught for 5 years, at Don Steed Elementary School, and prior to worked at a preschool for 4 years. I am very loving, caring and passionate about what I do. I truly love children, and love the idea of molding young children's minds. I have developed a theme based curriculum in which our learning experiences will be based off of a single theme, such as under the sea, camping, outer space etc. I love to help guide children through learning experiences that allow for discovery. For my older students we work on pre-school based curriculum, such as letter and number identification. For my infants we work on foundation developmental skills, such as gross motor and sensory. I love teaching a variety of skills that I tailor to each individual child so that they can feel successful. Please feel free to contact me and set up a visit so that you can see if my home is a place where your children can feel safe and learn. :)
