Hi! I am looking to take 1 or 2 children into my home for full-time care. I have a social and happy 6 month old daughter who will love a couple of new playmates. I am genuine and honest, kind and compassionate, and incredibly patient. I am also very thoughtful and creative and will cater your child's experiences while in my care to be based on his/her strengths, interest and areas where there may be room for development/growth. I have decided to keep my program small for many reasons. Mainly, I want to be able to provide your children with as much attention, and specialized care as possible (3:1). Additionally, with less children there will be less germs and sickness as I know this can be a problem in larger care services. Lastly, with less children, I can be more flexible and accommodating to each family. I believe there is great therapeutic value in both The Arts and in spending time outdoors so I will incorporate these elements into our daily routine. I will also bring the children to local story hours (and seek out additional community events/activities) so as to provide the little ones with the opportunity to develop a sense of community. Because you cannot be too young to learn the importance of being kind to others, I would also like to involve the children in opportunities to give back to the community, (visiting a nursing home, assembling care packages, making cookies to donate etc.). I have a very large property set back a great distance from the road. We have 3 mini goats, 6 chickens and 2 big dogs (dogs are friendly but will be kept in separate area). We have a swing set and tons of space to run and play. I would love to teach the children skills like gardening and animal care (feeding the goats). I have a large section in my home that will be devoted entirely to the children full-time so that they can use the space freely. I love assisting children in expressing themselves creatively and don't shy away from making a mess and having fun. I have a wealth of arts and craft project ideas and will also get input from the children based on the things that make them happy and inspired. I have over 15 years of professional experience caring for people. I have babysat, nannied, and have been the Arts and Crafts Director at a camp. I have supervised group homes and day service programs for individuals with developmental disabilities. I have vast experience with developmental disabilities as well as allergies/sensitives high medical needs.
