Stay at home Mom, whom also has a bachelors in teaching: looking for up to 2 children to care for in my home by June 2019 in Willow Grove. I am available to discuss rates. My son is 3 years old and my daughter is 2 years old. I'm looking to start caring for a maximum of 3 children from infants to age 4. Which will be a total of 5 children including my own. I have been running this business since 2015. I have been working with children from infants to teenagers for about 19 years. I am certified in art and elementary education. I have worked as an elementary school teacher for one year, a nanny for many families, worked in a nursery for 10 years and have been a lead teacher for the 2-year-old classroom at a daycare for five years. I will provide a fun, learning experience for your children, while they learn to interact and play. We will be reading stories, doing circle time, having arts and crafts, and doing many other activities. We will also be playing outdoors. We have a climber with a slide, a kiddie pool, sprinkler and water table for hot days.

I'm happy to be able to offer part-time child care at my home - I'd be happy to fill in for a sitter that may be on vacation or if you need child care for your children's school holidays. I'm very flexible. We are a loving, active, supportive family currently opening our home to care for a newborn/toddler or before and after school care. I am a mom of 1 boy (8) and 2 little girls (6 and 2). Love, safety, growth, health and development always come first in our home. My favorite activities with my children include cooking/baking, going to the playground, going for walks/runs in the park, reading lots of books, arts and crafts, puzzles, singing, dancing, and enjoying the moment. My desire is to help a family in need of part-time weekday care during the school year (Now - June). I would love to talk to you more about my background, and your future needs. My experience as a mother and past childcare roles has prepared me well to provide in home childcare. I have the necessary child care/criminal background checks.

I am very excited to be able to offer child care within my home. I have provided childcare since the age of 13 in many different capacities from babysitting to education to psychological development for all ages of children (infants through 21 years of age). After my undergraduate studies, I taught preschool in both Pennsylvania and Massachusetts for children ages 2-4. I was also employed for one year as a residential counselor at a residence for older children with special needs. While completing graduate school for a Master's in School Psychology, I was a full-time nanny for a family with two boys (ages 2 and 4) for two years. Most recently, I provided part-time summer care for two boys (ages 4 and 6) for three consecutive summers. Up until June 2014, for 12 years, I had been employed as a school psychologist in Delaware County working with special needs children and young adults (ages 3-21). For the past 2 years, I have been privileged to provide home care services to two families, each part-time but with overlapping days. The 3 children initially ranged in age from 1 to 3 years. They are currently 3 to 4 1/2 with the addition of a new sibling who is 8 months. One family will be transitioning out at the end of August and I am looking to offer my services again. My broad experience as a caregiver in many roles has prepared me well for my current job in the field of home-care and allows me to remain at home for a few years caring for my own two children. With all of my varied experiences, I have held many responsibilities in regard to direct care but have also been able to have fun and be creative. My favorite activities with children are cooking/baking, arts and crafts, reading and outdoor walks/runs. I have previously been certified in CPR and First Aid through my current job and have also had all the necessary security/background checks. I also have a clean driving record. In addition, my training as a school psychologist has given me a strong background in child development, behavior management, and social skills. I believe strongly in learning through play and child-directed play in order to develop their creativity and independence. In providing a safe and nurturing environment for my own daughter and son, I would do the same for any child in my care. A resume and references can be made available upon request. It is also important to note that we do have a very friendly Chocolate Lab as a family member!

My caregiving experience includes my current care for 2 children (in addition to my own), working for a private daycare (past) and children's ministries at church. I have a degree in social services and feel that I offer professional, yet personal care. I have current PA Childline and State Police background checks. I "retired" from social work in 2014 to care for my son. I am happy to support your formula or breastfeeding efforts, and welcome cloth or disposable diapering. I am a flexible caregiver and have used all these methods with my own son. I am also comfortable administering medications if needed, with your provision and instructions. We are a pet-free (except for a few fishies), non-smoking, no drugs (ever!), no firearms family. We have lived in Ambler approx. 8 yrs. We are active members of a Presbyterian church. My husband does work from home about 50% of the time as a freelance filmmaker, so he may be home during some care giving hours (though he is typically busy during the day). You are welcome to meet us both. I can refer you to a current customer so you can talk with them privately about their level of satisfaction with my care. Because I am a small, home daycare, I can be more flexible than traditional care. Though we will have agreed upon hours, if you happen to be running late one day, I can accommodate. I charge in 15 minute increments for care that goes beyond our agreed upon schedule. I do ask that you commit to a schedule, which means if you take holidays, vacation or if your child stays home due to illness, etc. you will be charged. I require that each child in my care be vaccinated according to the WHO/Center for Disease Control's immunization schedule. To protect little ones who may have other health needs, I require that parents submit an up-to-date vaccine schedule from the child's pediatrician every six months. This includes an annual flu vaccine and chicken pox vaccine. We are NOT a peanut/tree nut free home. Please discuss allergies with me. Guests use a Graco travel pack n' play, mini crib with a Naturepedic mattress or Joovy cot. We are pesticide-free outside. The Septa 94 line bus stop is at the end of our block, and the Ambler train station is <1/2 mile (10 min walk) away. I hope to meet you and your kiddos soon! Warmly, Meghan UPDATE: As of 01/2019, 1 infant slot, part time
