Searcy Family Child Care

POB 891202 Temecula, CA

I am a licensed in home child care facility. The children that are enrolled here witness diversity, and they learn acceptance of each other as friends. I begin pre-school learning activities at 18mo-20mo (depending on the childs ability to communicate). For example, I have a four year old who has a year before entering kindergarden, his mother took him to enroll in pre-school, they turn him away because he was already prepared, and the school wanted children enrolled who need the help. I make sure the children have well balanced meal at every sitting. All meals will have a fruit, a vegetable or both. The children have snacks in between meals, and they have water and 100% juice with their meals. I also make sure my parents have a date night, which is about every 3 months. This is a free night because I have a pajama party, where I invite all children enrolled in Searcy Family Child Care. It is imperative that parents communicate with the provider, and the provider with the parent. So, not only do I speak with them on pick up about their childrens day, but I also have a time where we meet or have a cookout where we get to know each other and keep it open. The amount of time the children are allowed to watch T.V. is minimal, because the activities involved in a day amounts to, too much to sit in front of the boob tube for 10hours. However, we do incorporate movie's from time-to-time and even sometimes during quiet time.

Allow me to introduce myself! My background in childcare began at a very early age as the eldest of five siblings. I believe that being "big brother" has given me a true passion for helping others, and for working with children. That passion has led me across the world doing humanitarian relief work. (Mostly with underprivileged children) It is a truly rewarding experience to be able to come alongside children living in those conditions, and be able to bring a smile into their lives. But also, one does not need to travel hundreds of miles to find opportunities to help. I also thoroughly enjoy the time I spend assisting the children's ministry at my church. I can often be found teaching first or second grade, or assisting in the "toddlers room". Older children are not beyond me either though. As an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America, and later as an adult leader, I had the opportunity to supervise, lead, and teach many adolescent young men. My current occupation as a hardwood flooring installer has a very scattered schedule and I often find myself with "slow" work seasons. I have little passion for that work though, so my hope to use my spare time to build a childcare/babysitting business capable of replacing my day job. I have chosen to list this profile as a "family child care" as this allows me to contact a broader spectrum of job offerings. (Including those described as "nanny" positions) Even if perhaps it would be more accurate to call what I offer, "babysitting". I have my own transportation, I also cook, clean, and quite handy around a household. Should you wish to contact me with any job offerings, I would be most grateful:) Depending on the length of the notice I receive, and the regularity of the engagement, I would charge something in the neighborhood of $15/hr. Thank you very much for your time and interest:). Have a wonderful day!

My goal is to offer your child a perfect balance of learning, play, socialization, and fine motor skill building in order to be a step ahead when entering kindergarten. Your child's safety and self-esteem is my priority. Here at Early Birds we will master the skills of learning the alphabet, counting, seasons, days and months of the year and knowing how to write their full names, address and phone numbers. In this process children will exercise and build their muscles and fine motor skills using scissors, crayons, painting and sorting. They will recognize numbers and letters and begin to put letters together and recognize and spell words. We will read, listen to music and use crafts and play time to reinforce the daily lesson plans. We will problem solve and team build together. Children will be edified in their accomplishments in this learning journey. We will work on sharing and feelings to reinforce character and social education. Through group activities children learn to follow directions, practice routines, take turns and develop friendships that are essential in kindergarten. When children begin kindergarten with strong social and emotional skills, they are more likely to have a successful transition. If this sounds like an atmosphere that you would like your child to be enrolled in please contact me as space is limited and fills up quickly. Please ensure that your child is up to date with all vaccinations so there is no delay in the enrollment process. I look forward to meeting with you and your child so that we can work together as a team to prepare for the next educational phase of their academic lives. Respectfully, Lynette Ramos Director
