I am the second oldest of 10 children. Their ages range from 2-25, so I am experienced in caring for children of all ages. We have both boys and girls in the house so I also am able to accommodate the needs of either. I attended the Medina County Career Center for a year where I was enrolled in the Early Childhood Education program. During my time there, we taught and cared for children between newborn and 4 years old. I also have a brother with special needs so I am experienced with the day to day needs of a special needs child. I am CPR and first aid certified. I am a patient, caring individual who would love to spend time helping other families.

I have many years of experience with children of all ages. I assisted my sister in raising her three children that are now all well into their 20 s. I have my own children that are ages 9 (daughter) and age 4 (son). I currently care for an 18-month-old boy and his 4-year-old sister. I have watched them since the youngest was 2 months. I have openings currently because two of the other children I cared for in addition to the ones listed are now currently enrolled in school full time. My education has varied through the years. I initially attended college in Virginia for early childhood education but later decided to move towards legal studies and graduated with my Bachelors Degree. My goal was to become a family mediator to work as a child advocate. Having my own children convinced me that I need to be more hands on with little ones. A little about what we do during the day. I offer transportation to and from school (schedules and location permitting) and accommodate before and after care with homework assistance. For preschool ages, I have a very structured program. I have two educational blocks during the day. Block one begins after breakfast and another after nap. The schedule is typically: 9 breakfast. 10-learning block which consist of number and letter recognition, primary colors and Spanish. After learning block it's free play until lunch. Noon - lunch. 12:45 p.m. nap time which varies per child so we have quiet activities while others nap. 3:45 p.m. afternoon learning block and then free play until pick up. We have occasional changes to schedule but likely a half hour off at most. I have a large fenced in yard and separate spaces in my home designated for childcare. I also have many security features including a home alarm to keep your children safe. We also schedule trips to the zoo in the summer and there are many trips to local parks. We also enjoy the occasional pizza party and ice cream socials. When the schools call off or have planned services days, we like to plan for a movie and popcorn. We have a great time while also practicing our manner and respect for one another. You will also receive many projects and pictures of your child through the day with daily updates of our activities. I'm child and adult CPR/FA Certified

Hello, I am a loving wife and mother of a 21 month old boy and 2 month old girl. I am a stay at home mom and understand how hard it is to find child care. I love teaching my son and daughter new things and spending time with them, and would love to help a family by spending the same time with your child/ren. I live in a very safe neighborhood in Strongsville that has a playground and pool within walking distance. We are a non smoking family, but we do have a dog. My schedule is very flexible, including weekends (example - date night). I babysit out of my home, I am currently watching 20 month old twins and a 20 month old little boy. And would love to add one more family to my clients. Please contact me with any questions.

Day Care
My name is Frankie. Like many of you, I’m a working Mom and I have three busy boys! About seven years ago I had this crazy idea I was going to start a daycare. Little did I know what I was in for. I was on maternity leave with my oldest (who is now seven) and I spent a lot of time touring daycares and interviewing home sitters. I just couldn’t believe I had to leave my precious little guy with someone I didn’t know. I had to go to work, but I didn’t feel good about going to a “corporate” center. It just seemed so impersonal! They were changing the babies with gloves and the little ones were lined up in highchairs crying! It broke my heart! Then I looked into home-based care providers and they seemed like a better fit for me, BUT not as secure as a center. After much dedicated searching it was time to return to work and I had not made a decision. I finally went the home sitter route and at first it worked out great. But then my sitter could only do 3 days a week. And of course my family grew. Over the next 5 years and two more kids I tried many different sitters to make it work. There were days that it was more stressful getting the kids to the sitter than my entire work day! As much as I loved being a Mom, I also knew that I really enjoyed my career. How could I effectively manage the two? It was such a struggle to make sure I always had coverage for the kids. There had to be a better way. It occurred to me that my career and taking care of the kids could BOTH be served by opening my own day care center. More and more I began to think of this, despite the size of the challenge and the amount of work I knew it would take to get started. I never let go of the dream however. It was just put on hold for a while. I knew that if you could combine comforts of home based care and security of center based daycare (with the right staff to carry it out) it was a perfect match for what I was looking for. And if I was looking for it then other Mom’s had to be too! Fortunately I had loving and supportive family members who shared my dream. And so it was Sharon’s Little Leapers became what it is today. Stop by and visit. I am sure you will be glad you did. HOURS: Monday-Friday 6:30am - 6:30pm

Meghan J. says "My kids have been going to Sharon's Little Leapers for over 3 years and the staff really treat them like their own kids. One thing that stands out to me...
