Amanda's Child Care & Babysitting Services

5715 Boomer Road Cincinnati, OH

Hello! My name is Amanda. I am currently in school to obtain my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and plan to open my own Daycare Center in the future. For now, though, I transformed my finished basement into a Child Care. I run a Child Care in our home and have a full-time helper as well. We work with your children to help prepare them for Kindergarten and beyond. We follow a structured schedule each day, which includes play time, circle time, groups, centers, art and music to name a few. * The learning area is separate from the play area, which is important for focusing. I have toys for all ages, both educational and fun. We also, on occasion, take the children on field trips to places such as Entertainment Junction, the Zoo, Park and Totter Otterville. I provide care for the following: - Children, 6 months and older. (please contact if younger) - Full-time & Part-time - Before and After school care, (OHLSD, some schools in NWLSD and Preschools nearby our home). - Summer care. Availability: - 1st Shift. Please contact me to set up a face-to-face interview, visit my home or if you have any questions at all. Thank you! Amanda **** I live in a smoke free home. ****

I am an elementary school teacher and have been for the past 8 years. During my first three years, I taught 2nd grade. For the past 5 years, I have been a reading intervention teacher, working with grades K-5. I have a passion for teaching children, not only academics, but also the life skills that are necessary for children to grow up to be caring, productive members of society. I also have a daughter who is 4 years old and I wish to be more involved in her learning and development. Therefore, I would like to continue pursuing my passion of caring for/teaching children via a new avenue, while earning an income. Since I do not know the status of my teaching position for next school year, and would love to stay home with my daughter while earning an income, I am looking to open a childcare business within my home near the end of summer/early fall. I would provide care for my own daughter, and would be able to care for up to five other children, according to Ohio state regulations for a Type B Childcare home. I envision providing all day daycare (if needed), as well as preschool services, all in one location. For younger children, I would provide age-appropriate toys, help them develop gross motor skills, begin crawling, walking, etc. I would be willing to make bottles, change diapers, provide a bouncer, ExerSaucer, crib/pack and play, etc. For toddler-aged children, I would provide age-appropriate toys, provide learning activities, crafts/projects, etc. I would devote part of each day focusing on math and early phonics skills, read stories with the children, practice writing letters, etc. Due to the fact that many children have food allergies, I would likely prefer that parents provide most of the food that I would serve to their children. For children who come early in the mornings, I could serve a breakfast if desired, such as waffles, cereal, etc. I would serve a packed lunch to the children. I would be able to provide small snacks, such as crackers or pretzels, provided none of my children have allergies to those items. I would also provide a space for children to have a restful nap/quiet time. I am looking forward to beginning a new chapter in my life, while helping children and guiding them down the path of lifelong learning. If you are interested in finding out more about my business, please feel free to contact me.

My name is Jennifer and I am a certified teacher in both Ohio and Kentucky. I received my Bachelor's degree from NKU in Early Childhood Education. I continued my education by receiving my Master's degree in Education Administration from Xavier University. I spent the past 8 school years (2006-2014) teaching at an elementary school in Kentucky. I spent three of those years teaching 2nd grade and then spent five years teaching reading intervention to students struggling with reading. This school year, I decided that I wanted to open my own childcare center in my home. We converted our finished basement into a childcare/preschool and I am currently watching several children. We focus on the importance of learning responsibility, respect, manners, and making good choices! I also spend time working with the older toddlers on recognizing colors, letters and sounds, numbers, writing, and early phonics and math! I love that I get to work with each child individually and that I am able to move at each child's individual pace! We also spend time doing seasonal crafts, which the children love. I am located on the West Side of Cincinnati, in the Oak Hills school district. I am available to provide childcare Monday-Friday from 7:30 am-5:45 pm. Also, I am certified in Pediatric First Aid/CPR through American Red Cross. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me via the care.com website!
