About Zina

Hello, I'm an expert academic tutor for K-12 Math (including Algebra1, 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus), SHSAT, SAT (Math and Verbal), and other individual subjects. I have been an independent tutor for 8+ years and am part of a learning center as well. My reputation in the community has been excellent and I tailor my teaching methods and pace based on individual student's needs. My teaching philosophy is making sure the material is well-taught enough for my students to be able to re-teach it to me. I am patient and understanding, and I use positive reinforcement to make sure my students build their confidence and reach their true potential. I like to have a friendly environment and make my students feel comfortable and eager to learn. I care about efforts more than the actual score, so as long my students are putting their best foot forward, I am happy.
