About Zina

Hi! I'm Zina, an experienced tutor who enjoys helping students build confidence and become stronger, more independent learners. I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology and also an MBA. I specialize in test preparation, including the SAT, SHSAT, Mark Twain, ISEE, and SSAT, as well as general Math, English, reading, writing, and science support. I've worked with students one-on-one and in small groups, and I tailor my teaching style to each student's individual needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I'm patient, encouraging, and organized, but I also make sure students are challenged and making meaningful progress. I especially enjoy breaking down difficult concepts into simpler steps and helping students develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed both in school and on standardized tests. I'd be happy to discuss your child's goals and determine how I can best support them!
