About Victoria

Hi there! My name is Tory and I have always enjoyed teaching students. I currently volunteer as a tutor for The City Tutors and would like to expand upon my work and get to know specific students needs. As an NYU student, my experience in reading in writing has always been my area of excellence, and in High School I took math up to the AP Calculus level and finished the AP exam with a score of 4. I am personable and enjoy being around students because I relate to them and know how to accommodate their needs effectively. My experience as a tutor has aided me in how to approach situations where the student is confused, and guide them to helpful solutions using creative ways to incentivize their learning. When I was in High School tutors were always a great resource for me and helped me a lot, and I would love to give back by tutoring more students.
