My name is Maya, and I would love to help your family with tutoring services! I'm a recent graduate of College, magna cum laude, with a B. A. in Theater Studies and Sociology. I'm seeking to tutor in English, Writing, or History up to the high school level. I can also tutor in theater/drama or general Sociology. I'm currently employed as a reading tutor at a private center, but looking to pick up additional hours utilising my skill set! During my undergraduate studies, I gained 3 years of paid experience as a peer educator and peer mentor, teaching and tutoring my fellow students. As a high school student, I self-taught for 2 AP History exams and was able to earn 5s on both despite not having access to an actual AP course. I'm passionate about helping students become more confident learners, and would love to help with everything from homework to test prep.
