Hello. My name is Veronica and I'm 30 years old. I am currently a stay at home mom looking for a nanny position or looking to start a daycare! If I found a nanny job, I'd like to be able to bring my little one. I had a baby in February. I left my job as a Behavioral Therapist at an Autism Center a month prior to having my boy. My job duties included ABA therapy with children with autism ages ranging from 3 - 12. I help children with developing social skills, adaptive, motor, cognitive, language, etc., the list goes on. :) I have been a PCA for a little girl who has Hydrocephalus (this was a syndrome that affected the development of her brain. She has developmental delays and a seizure disorder). My duties in this job include her therapies, walks, baths, meals, medicines, etc. I also help with the two other children in the house. I was a nanny for a 4-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl in Hudson, WI. I have also been a live-in nanny for a 7-year-old little girl. I have worked with children throughout high school until now (almost 7 years). I've worked at schools as a Special Education Paraprofessional and enjoyed this very much as well. I think I have the patience and heart required to help the children grow and work with them in a safe environment. With each child, I have learned and have grown. It has made me a better person. The whole idea of being able to work with children is a privilege and very rewarding! I have had great relationships with the families I've worked with. Organization, respect, communication, trust, flexibility are things I consider the most important when working. I want a family to be on the same page with me. Things run smoother that way. I also want to gain trust. It helps when a parent knows their child is in good hands. I like being able to help a family when plans change and they need me to help with their schedule. Things come up all of the time and it helps when you can rely on someone to be there just in case you need them to drive somewhere or pick something up. I have a little brother who is 15 and I love watching him play sports. I try to support him as much as I can because I believe it's good for him to have that kind of support (and the fact that I'm his elder sister makes me look cool anyway). I like doing arts and crafts and decorating things. I am very active and live a pretty healthy life style. I enjoy running errands, zoo, watching movies, and bike rides. ~Veronica
