I also have a strong academic background in psychology, child development, and education. I am currently a doctoral student in psychology and will be a psychotherapist in a few years. I love giving tons of attention to 1 or 2 special children: it's so much fun seeing them grow and develop and change every day! We hired Thea to care for our then 6 m.o. daughter from Oct. 2017-July 2018. We could not asked for a better match between our family and Thea. She is trustworthy, warm and caring. We always felt our daughter was in good care and it allowed me to go back to work part-time without worrying. As a first time mother, I also found her to be not only a great nanny for our daughter, but also a wonderful support and sounding board as I was making my way through the first year of motherhood. We highly recommend her and without reservation. An interesting side note: We moved from the east coast where Thea had been our nanny, but we each made the effort to see each other when we visited and our daughter was a little over 2 y.o. It was amazing to see how our daughter immediately connected to Thea despite having had one year apart. It speaks to the attachment that Thea was able to make.
