I am applying for the Caregiver position, I believe I have the experience and skills you are searching for. About me, I took care of a few family members, I handled of all their needs, which included helping them in and out of bed, getting dressed and taking care of all their personal hygiene needs. I also made sure they had their medicine and that it was taking on time. I monitored vitals and assisted some with their insulin shots. I also performed all household duties such as washing clothes, washing dishes, grocery shopping, cooking meals and cleaning to maintain a safe environment. I transported them to and from doctor appointments and to socialize with them often for companionship to help them maintain a sense of dignity during that difficult time. I knew this was the type of work I wanted to do as a career, so I decided to get certified. In addition, I have learned the proper procedures for handling infectious diseases and I gained knowledge of communicable disease control.
