About Taren

Since the beginning of my graduate studies in Educational Theatre at New York University I've held a strong interest in exposing others to creative ways of learning. I've taught English through Theater to High School students in Zanzibar, East Africa. I taught HS Theater in Newark, NJ. I taught 3rd grade in New Jersey and in North Carolina. I also worked as a Teaching Assistant at the Graduate level at New York University. In between, I've worked part-time as a teaching artist to practice social emotional learning with adults and youth grades K-8. Then, I decided to homeschool my son for preschool while teaching ESL on-line. With my son, I enjoyed helping him explore my love of reading with his natural love of math. I was so excited that he was ready for Kindergarten that I knew I just had to share our curriculum with other families. Now, I am the owner of Stars & Scholars Preschool Online.
