About Tammy

Unlocking a student's unique potential drives my approach to education. With 10 years of experience and a graduate degree, I specialize in English, History, Study Skills, and Special Education. My practice is rooted in Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and Student accommodation plans (504). I believe in fostering critical thinking over rote memorization, ensuring every student builds lasting confidence. By actively listening and adapting my methods--whether through visual aids or hands-on activities--I tailor my support to your specific needs. I stay motivated by breaking down complex problems and celebrating every "aha!" moment alongside my students. I prioritize clear communication to build a collaborative environment and am happy to provide support directly in your home. I truly look forward to partnering with you to help you reach your academic goals.
