About Tammy

I am a retired teacher with 17 years teaching experience. I have an ESL endorsement & have taught a variety of grades from PK to 8th grade. My certification includes Elementary & Middle Level education with a K-12 ESOL endorsement. I was the 2021 Daughters of the American Revolution History Teacher of the Year for the state of Florida. As an ESOL resource teacher, I worked with small groups and full classrooms of students who were below grade level academically. The goal was to use intervention strategies to teach fundamentals as well as strive to bring the students closer to functioning at grade level. The strategies included assessment, to determine the academic gaps followed by targeted instruction on the skills needed for remediation and restoration to grade level proficiency,
