About Rachel
Experience: 10 yrs
I'm looking to assist students and their families in eliminating time spent in frustration at the dinner table trying to figure out math problems. I began tutoring math over 10 years ago when I volunteered at a women's shelter in college. I then was a certified math teacher for 7+ years at the middle and high school level. I still hold a FL Professional Certificate in Math Grades 6-12. My skills include patience, identifying misconceptions, and a firm background in algebra. I have a sense of humor and aim to make learning math as painless as possible.
Most recent review
Rachel is one of the very best in class math instructors in the State. Her students’ test scores were always two standard deviations from the average. But it was her ability and willingness to tutor students one on one that contributed to her overall success. I’ve recommended her services to several parents over the past few years. All were five star amazed at Rachel the Math Whisperer
