I have taken care of elderly including an MD and his wife who tried to hire me to do private duty but I wasn't able at that time. The MD trusted me enough to drive his Mercedes Benz without him or his wife present.! His son knew all of this. His son liked me also and headed up a major hospital. I lived with an elderly man and we got along so well that his son made sure when Dad went into assisted living that the assisted living was close to me so I could visit him often as I was working another area. Another elderly woman after she was widowed we became close friends and used to go out to dinner weekly and she attended a special dinner with me at my request. I am able to form a relationship with elderly and enjoy them and their stories. I would love to help you and your families.
