About Rose

I'd describe my personality as open minded, patient, trustworthy and caring. I brought my mother to live with me at the beginning of the pandemic in 2020. She had dementia so I have an understanding of what it takes to care for an elderly person with this disease. I'm looking for a position that allows me to provide companionship to someone who would otherwise be alone. Perhaps this would be coverage for a weekend break for the usual care provider or respite for a family member. I can also help with various light tasks around the house or meal preparation The three and a half years my mother was with me prepared me to be able to share those skills with others in need. In my spare time, I like to write, travel, read books and movies. I take the responsibility of caring for an elderly person very seriously. I'm aware of the need for patience and tolerance. My skills include excellent communication, simple meal preparation, medication assistance and compassionate company.
