I have a degree in education from Boston College. I have been involved in education since the beginning of my working career. When I entered the corporate world I was responsible for training new employees. Eventually, I opened my own learning center, Kumon, math and reading in Connecticut. I ran that for many years while also working as a paraprofessional in the public school system. I have experience also teaching ESL as I have a degree in French and understand the dynamics of teaching a second language. My greatest strength is working with students one on one in developing organizational skills and how to plan and prioritize their studies to meet deadlines. Both my children are grown one is an engineer and the other is an anthropologist. Now that I am retired I I miss the interaction with students and would like to offer my strategies to help young people get solid study skills and a strong background in math and reading.
