About Sur Ching

I'm passionate about helping students unlock their full potential through personalized support. I create engaging and patient learning environments, empowering students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. I have a graduate degree and two years of experience tutoring Math, English, and Foreign Language to elementary and middle school students. I actively listen to students, observe their interactions with new material, and encourage open communication to understand their individual learning styles. I celebrate small successes, break down complex problems, and encourage curiosity. Communication is essential. I provide regular updates to parents and adapt my approach based on open dialogue. Witnessing a student's "aha!" moment is the most rewarding part of tutoring. I speak Chinese Cantonese and Mandarin, English, and Spanish. I look forward to working with you and your student!
