About Sung

Hi! I'm a Scientist and Business Development Associate Director in the Drug Development/Discovery field with a strong academic background in the sciences. I am offering tutoring part-time because I enjoy helping students build confidence and develop a deeper understanding of challenging subjects. My academic background includes a BS in Biochemistry from UCLA, a MS in Chemistry from USF, and a PhD in Biophysics and Physiology from VCU. During my graduate studies, I was honored with a Ramsey Award for outstanding academic excellence, recognizing students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement. I can tutor high school students in AP/honors/college-prep Physics and Chemistry. I focus on understanding rather than memorization, breaking challenging concepts into clear, manageable steps. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students can build confidence, problem-solving skills, and a strong foundation they can carry into the classroom and beyond.
