About Sterling

I am a SFUSD Special Education Paraeducator with hands-on experience supporting children diagnosed with moderate to severe Autism Spectrum Disorder, and I am looking for summer work opportunities. I specialize in 1:1 support for non-verbal and high-support needs children, with a strong focus on behavioral regulation, communication development, and creating calm, structured environments where children can feel safe and successful. My experience includes: • Providing direct 1:1 support in both classroom and home-like settings • Working with non-verbal children using alternative communication approaches • Supporting emotional regulation, transitions, and sensory needs • Assisting with daily routines, community outings, and life skills development I am patient, grounded, and highly attuned to each child's unique needs. I understand how to anticipate challenges, reduce the sense of being overwhelmed, and help children engage more comfortably with the world around them.
