About Sonya

Hello! I am a 2019 graduate of the University of Iowa and a 2022 graduate of St. Ambrose University. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in therapeutic recreation and a minor in psychology from Iowa and a doctorate in occupational therapy from St. Ambrose. I have several years of experience with children of all ages. I worked at the Arc of Southeast Iowa for two years and provided care for children with disabilities. I also worked at the Patients' Library at UIHC. Here, I engaged with patients and families to keep them entertained with stories, arts & crafts, music, board games, video games, etc. Other experience includes working with children with peanut and gluten allergies. I am comfortable with any furry friends you may have as well! I look forward to meeting you!
