Hi all! My name is Rachel and I am an experienced sitter looking for Saturday, weekday evening, or overnight babysitting/nannying positions. I teach art courses at DMACC and have a graduate degree from The University of Iowa in Painting & Drawing. Before moving to Iowa, I worked with Teach for America in Louisiana where I was a middle school special education teacher. My students had mild disabilities so I have experience working with children with ADHD/Dyslexia/Autism/other learning disabilities. I have experience caring for children of all ages, from newborn to early teens. I also have experience caring for multiple children, twins, and providing overnight infant care. Rachel has been fantastic! My family hasn't had the greatest luck finding dependable and caring babysitters. Unfortunately, I have to attend class multiple evenings per week. This has been extremely hard on my 6 and 9 year old children. Since Rachel started babysitting, the kids are much happier and hardly seem to care when I have to go to class. Always punctual, great communication, and happy to accommodate my children's unique needs. We are all so thankful to have her around! The only issue now is how much my kids are going to miss her when I finish my degree.
