About Simrat

Hi! I'm simi, an early childhood educator, nanny, and sitter with 9 years of experience working with children ages 12 months-12 years. I've worked as a nanny, sitter, school-age educator, and for the past 3 years as an Early Childhood Lead Teacher with 5 years of experience ages 0-5. I'm most experienced with toddlers and preschoolers and most comfortable working with ages 12 months-8 years. My approach is playful, relationship-based, and responsive. I find it deeply rewarding supporting kids through their big feelings and discovering what makes each child light up through art, sensory, dramatic play, building, outdoors, and lots of books! Anti-bias, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive care guide my work. I have a bachelor's degree from PSU and graduate level certification in Infant & Toddler Mental Health. I speak English & Punjabi fluently, with intermediate Spanish. I'm available for evenings, weekends, date nights, and occasional care at $30/hr.
