Experience: 10 yrs
I have been working professionally in the child care field for 10 years at childcare centers, preschools and as a nanny. I worked as an infant teacher, toddler 2 teacher then became the full time preschool teach Phyllis Bodel Childcare Center at Yale School of Medicine. I transitioned to nannying 5 years ago and have worked with 4 months old to 12 y. o. Outside of my professional experience, I have also done a lot of date night sitting for all ages, supported my mom in her at home daycare throughout my teens and into early adult years. I have also led children's yoga classes and coach soccer for 10-12 y. o. I went to school for early childhood education. About me: I am 30 years old and a practicing herbalist. I have a background in Culinary Nutrition so I love to cook. I also have a background in yoga. It's important to me to get outside and spend time in natural environments. In my free time I love to hike, camp, experience music, dance and create things (all sorts of things!)
Ms. Aela cared for my son from 5 to 8 months old, and it was such a joy to watch the way she worked with him. She is deeply nurturing, attentive, and incredibly intuitive with babies. One of the things that stood out most was how amazing she was at soothing him. During a stage where he struggled with sleep, she would gently rock and sway with him, hum softly, and sing to him with so much patience and warmth. He felt completely safe with her and would melt in her arms. She also did an amazing job encouraging his communication and motor development, helping support him as he learned to sit up and crawl. She accompanied him to the pool and baby gym and took him on stroller walks in nature every day. My son would light up the moment she arrived, and it was obvious how much comfort and joy she brought him. Ms. Aela was consistently punctual, an excellent communicator, and always prioritized his safety above all else. She fed him healthy foods, kept me updated throughout the day, and brought such a calm, steady presence into our home. I trusted her completely with my son’s care and would wholeheartedly recommend her to any family looking for exceptional childcare.
