About Sierra

Hi! I'm Sierra. I've spent more than 10 years as a journalist and news anchor, which means writing, researching and communicating clearly are a huge part of what I do every day. I'd love to help students with English, writing, reading, social studies, test prep, study skills and public speaking. I'm patient, pretty laid-back and believe learning works a lot better when you actually understand the why instead of just memorizing an answer. I'm new to paid tutoring, but definitely not new to teaching and explaining things! A huge part of my career has been taking complicated information and making it easy to understand, and I've worked with kids and adults of all ages along the way.
