I'm a patient, creative tutor for elementary, middle, and high school students across a wide range of subjects: math and science, English and writing, and business and economics. I'm heading into astrophysics, so STEM is a strength, and English has always been the subject friends come to me for. My approach is figuring out where a student is actually getting stuck, instead of just repeating the same explanation. When someone hits a roadblock, I'll re-explain it a different way-usually with a real-world example-ask exactly where I'm losing them, and zero in until it clicks. I treat confusion as a puzzle to solve together, not a problem with the student. I've tutored younger kids throughout years of babysitting and been the go-to study-buddy for friends for as long as I can remember. As a Resident Advisor, I've also learned to build trust quickly and stay calm under pressure. I'd be glad to work in person and build a steady routine that helps your student grow more confident.
