I am an In-home Caregiver and Certified Nursing Assistant with over 14 years of experience providing personalized assistance to seniors in the comfort of their own homes. I offer carefully tailored Alzheimer's and dementia care to companion care. Being a patient and compassionate caregiver, I am dedicated to helping each of my clients live as safely and independently as possible. Shellie helped me as a caregiver/companion for my 97 year old mother while I recovered from surgery.  She is kind, caring and extremely attentive to the needs of her clients. Shellie was an exceptional caregiver in every way. She is very knowledgeable in her approach to dementia patients, and treated my dad with respect and dignity, earning his friendship along the way. She took great pride in her work and went above and beyond with every responsibility asked of her, from taking my dad on outings, meal prep, and housekeeping. She is also stellar with pets. Shellie has helped my family take care of my father with dementia and Alzheimer's for 4 months. We have been pleased with the past few caregivers we have hired through Care.com, but Shellie has surpassed all expectations in the level of care, thoughtfulness, and planning she brings to her job. She has befriended my father and it is a delight to see them interacting with one another. She truly has an attitude of creating the best environment and best experience for her clients. One example of how she has continually impressed us is by finding free or low-cost outings for my father that engage his interests. She is extremely reliable and responsible in everything we have asked her to handle. Be it housekeeping, pet care, meal prep, communication with family, she handles it all with exceptional skill.

Shellie was a wonderful, conscientious caregiver to our mom in her final weeks. She was prompt, dependable and gave her all to help our mother transition peacefully. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing a superstar. She went above and beyond the call of duty and was with our mom as she passed away after a difficult month.

It has taken me some time to write this review. Since my grandmother's passing, it has been difficult to reflect back on her last moments. Shellie was there holding her hand for the last hours of her life. This was not during working hours; my grandmother passed at 6 am. Shellie had been there since 9 am the previous morning. Why? because she truly fell in love with my grandmother. She made her a promise that she kept full heart. Shellie was mom's angel & mine as well. 

My grandmother was my mother. I moved my entire family back to Arizona when mom was put on hospice. I was to watch the woman I loved more than anything, die.  Shellie became my 2nd mother & a rock for my entire family as well as a smiling companion for my her.  She went above & beyond all expectations. She loved my entire family as her own. Bought presents for everyone, took initiative with her care, exercised her mind, laughed all day and brought happiness into a sad home. Words will never describe our gratitude.

Shellie was part of a team of 7 amazing caregivers that cared for my mother in her home 24-hours per day. Shellie won my mom over during the interview, which is a great accomplishment, and knew just to how handle her challenging temperament. She is very poised and caring and always stepped up to help when another one of the caregivers was unable to come. She was on duty the night my mom passed from complications of a stroke and I feel very fortunate that she was there for those final hours. I would highly recommend Shellie. She is a truly passionate caregiver.

I worked with Shellie as a caregiver, and she was wonderful - so caring, always focused on her clients. I told her she's the caregiver I want when it's my turn!
