About Shelby

My name is Shelby and I am from the San Francisco Bay Area and recently moved to Michigan. I am a recruiter and former behavioral therapist to kids with autism and have over seven years of experience working with children with developmental disabilities. I grew up playing softball and have two wonderful sisters. I grew up in a neighborhood full of children who I babysat for. They have ranged in ages from newborns to 13 years old. I also have a younger sister that I have babysat for and took care of when our parents were busy. I have attended a babysitting class and have continued to occasionally watch family friends throughout the years. I enjoy outdoor activities, sports, cooking, and crafts. I have coached softball teams for four years for differing age groups. While attending college at Washington State University, I was a nanny for a 6-year-old girl, where I helped with light housework and errands. I am CPR, first aid, and QBS trained.
