I am Sheila. A single mother of three amazing adult daughters that I have raised single handedly. I live with my two youngest daughters in NE/DC and our two wonderful pet family members. I have a degree in child development/psychology and continue to educate myself on the whole development of children. I have had the privilege of working with children and their families for over 20 years in numerous fashions. I have run my own childcare business, operated and run before and after school programs as well as have worked as a professional Nanny for over 10 years. I am well versed in all development areas. Motor skills/physical, speech/language/communication, diet/feeding/nutrition, as well as cognitive/neurological function. I also work with children to help them gain strong emotional development. Sheila worked for us for nearly 2 years from when our child was 4 months old until they started school. Sheila was absolutely fantastic and an indispensable member of our family. She was always caring and developed a deep bond with our child that they share today - our child lights up when Sheila walks in to the room. She helped our child's development and gets all the credit for our child hitting all milestones early or at least on time (mostly early, our pediatrician has consistently commented on how wonderfully our child has advanced). She proactively and thoughtfully suggested ways to help our child's health/well-being/development, suggesting toys or activities that were great. She helped guide our child from bottles through weaning and starting solids. She was always on time and communicative about any schedule changes far in advance on her end but was incredibly flexible and willing to stay late or come an additional day when we had work or personal emergencies come up. Sheila was also there for us during difficult RSV/COVID times and we never had any issue with health or safety. There is no one we trust more with our child. Any family would be lucky to work with her.
