About Shannon

I have been caring for children since my junior year in high school when I worked with my hometown's housing authority to develop a summer program for underprivileged children in the community from the ages of 3 to 13 years. I organized this program through the summer of my freshman year in college. I began my first nanny job during my sophomore year of college and worked with children throughout college ranging in age from 4 years to 16 years. I enjoyed piquing the kids' interest in science and getting them to help me with my biology assignments. When I moved to the Atlanta area I started another nanny position working for a family with two daughters ages 6 months and 4 years. After approximately two years I was offered a job to work at a startup company which became WebMD where I was a Project Manager for several years. I then took time off to raise a family of my own, and I am the mother of a 14-year-old son, J.
