About Amber

Hi, I'm originally from Nebraska but have called the Atlanta area home since 1998. I'm 48 years old and currently nanny for a sweet 4-year-old girl and her 20-month-old brother. Caring for children has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember-I started babysitting at 12 and, as the oldest of four, I naturally grew into that caregiver role early on. Over the years, I've worked in daycares, taught swimming lessons (including with a Special Needs group), and supported families with children ranging from newborns to teens. I've also had the privilege of working with kids with ADD, ADHD, dyslexia, and Asperger's, which taught me patience, flexibility, and the importance of meeting each child where they are. I first moved to Atlanta to nanny full-time and did that for 8 years. After a 15-year career in orthodontics, I returned to my passion in 2021. I love building lasting bonds and creating a safe, fun, nurturing space where kids can grow and thrive.
