Hi! I am looking for a 25-30-hour/wk nanny position. I have experience with children ages 4 months to 4th grade both in and out of the classroom- but would prefer to work with toddlers and preschool-aged kids! I have a Masters in Education, and I taught at a preschool in Alexandria for almost 10 years (teaching 2s and 3s) and on the side. I've babysat for various families at that preschool. Since then, I have nannied for families and worked at other preschools. When working with families, I don't mind pets. I love doing arts and crafts, love music and dance, and love literacy (for the older kids, i. e. making little books, pretending to make grocery lists, recipes, playing post office, etc), and don't mind taking kids to play-dates, to parks, to libraries, etc. I also don't mind doing minor housework (like dishes, minor laundry, trash). I am also very creative and play ukulele, love drums (any folk instrument) and do both traditional and digital arts!

Sarah has been with our family full time since my son was 5 months old. He loves spending time with her. They go on walks, music classes, to the park. She has our full trust taking care of him. I have never met such a dedicated caregiver. She is always on-time--no matter the weather! She braved the crazy streets during a snowstorm just to get to our house. She chose to stay over to ensure that she will be able to help watch our child the next day during the snowstorm. She's very communicative, full of knowledge based on her educational background. Had it not been for our son going into daycare, we would absolutely keep working with her. She is amazing!
