About Sami

I've been a tutor and coach for varied age groups and varied skills over the years, so here's a list of my best fits: Creative writing (short story, novel, screenwriting l): All ages Acting: All ages Acting Shakespeare: Age 12 to adult English Lit: Grades 6-12 Homework help, all subjects: Grades 1-5 Homework help, humanities only: Grades 6-12 Study skills: All ages I'd describe my personality as empathetic, passionate, and curious. I started tutoring in college, as an undergraduate! I was part of a volunteer corps that tutored local junior high school kids. I continued during grad school, teaching news reporting to kids as a volunteer. Since then I've coached and tutored in many different capacities over the years. In my spare time, I like to read, write, see theater, participate in Contra and English country dancing, and go for ridiculously long walks with my son, discussing evolution.
