About Samik

Hello! My name is Samik and I'm a medical student at WU who is passionate about guiding students toward academic success! For the past five years, I've enjoyed tutoring students from middle school through college in Math, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry. I also help with test preparation for AP, ACT, SAT, and the MCAT. In addition to private tutoring, I was also a teaching assistant in both a college level physics course and biology/physiology course for three years. My teaching focus is on explaining concepts clearly to develop understanding over pure memorization, breaking down complex problems into manageable steps, and facilitating frequent application through practice problems. I am willing to tutor at a variety of locations (including virtually), and am both CPR and First Aid certified. Witnessing a student achieve their academic goals is the most rewarding part of my work, and I look forward to helping you or your child excel academically!
