I'm in school for elementary education. I've been a teacher assistant for 7+ years. I was an au pair for a year in Spain. I tutored and babysat privately and for companies. I also coached baseball for 3 years in Tucson and 1 in Seattle. I give private baseball lessons for kids. I was a big brother . I have worked at many summer camps. I have also volunteered at a Children's Hospital.

I don't drive due to an eye problem, so I try to find jobs where driving is not required.

Richard came to Bainbridge for a full, 15 hour day for three boys under 9. He brought games and had a great plan for the day which included taking the ferry to Seattle and going to the aquarium; going swimming at the rec center; playing board games; and going to lunch. He got everyone in bed (they were exhausted!) and cleaned up the house too. Would definitely use again and recommend! Boys loved the day. 

Richard was great. He made time to meet us beforehand even on short notice. Both my kids had a blast with him and he was very prompt arriving. Will be using him again for sure.

On time and communicative.  Friendly and able to establish instant rapport with our son.  Cleaned the kitchen and dining room while we were out.  And our son had so much fun with Richard, he asked us to go out again soon so he could have the babysitter back!  We look forward to having Richard sit for us again.

Richard was very responsive and amenable to having an online meet and greet before the event. He helped us navigate the steps (since we are new to the site), and was very pleasant in all interactions. On the night of the event he arrived on time, seemed super comfortable right away, and asked great questions about our preferences for play and bed time. Our son really enjoyed playing ninjas with Richard and gave him a thumbs up review when asked about his experience. Richard also put away food after dinner and washed the dishes in our sink which was lovely to come home to. We were very pleased and would and will recommend him to others.

Richard has watched our three kids (ages 11, 8 and 5) several times and has been fantastic. He engages them based on their different interests, is up for outdoor adventures, is energetic and playful, and also makes an effort to tidy up before we arrive home. The kids have a great time with him!! He clearly has years of childcare experience given how easily he interacts with kids of varying ages and genders. Highly recommend Richard!

Richard is our kids’ favorite babysitter (and ours as parents).  He really engages with them.  He has played Fortnite with our son, Magic the Gathering with both our kids, and is open to anything they want to do.  He is also super helpful and uses his extra time to help clean up dishes and tidy up.  He is responsive, punctual and reliable.  I don’t hesitate to recommend him. 

Richard was great. We recently hired him to watch our 7 year old son while visiting Seattle. We were unfamiliar with the area and he went over and above by helping planning activities for our group. He brought UNO and other activities to our hotel to play with our little guy and kept in constant contact with us throughout the night which helped ease my nervous mama jitters. 5/5 would definitely hire again if visiting Seattle.

Richard is personable and provided us with child care in a pinch.

Richard worked at my son's elementary school so I knew him as someone  trusted and friendly.  Recently I hired him for a long week night sitting job and he had to get my 11 year old son to soccer, pick up a friend on the way and last minute have another teammate dropped off to walk with them too.  He was so flexible to go with the flow of all the changes.  My son had a great time with him and I would definitely hire Richard again.  

Richard spent the last couple of weeks of summer with our son and proved himself to be honest, reliable and genuinely a great guy!  He had the right energy for our child's needs and was flexible with our schedule.  He's a good communicator as well.  Highly recommend!

We visited Seattle for a few weeks and hired Richard to look after our two boys for one day when both my wife and I had to run some errands. The kids loved him so much that we ended up hiring Richard for 2 more days. They played soccer, had a blast in a swimming pool, but also had some quiet table games (my son claims he won Richard in chess). Now the kids say we should plan our next trip to Seattle so that we meet him again.
Besides being a lot of fun for kids, Richard was punctual, helpful and accommodating to our special needs and last minute requests. 

Richard watched our two boys while I was out of town for several days and my husband was occupied with work. He did a great job, asking questions ahead of time, being thoughtful about the boys' routine and taking care to learn about them. He was prompt and reliable showing up, and was able to take the kids on activities during the day, kept them occupied and entertained, and when he left each afternoon, they were excited for the chance to see him again. He took care to pick out activities that worked well for them, and helped keep our house clean in the process. We recommend him and would definitely hire him again.

We were visiting Seattle to attend a wedding and hired Richard for our 10 and 12 year old boys. Richard was open to connecting beforehand and was keen to learn about what my boys were interested in, so an evening could be planned around what my kids enjoyed. Richard was thoughtful, kind, flexible and mindful of safety.  My boys love basketball and Richard knew the area of our hotel well to know a suitable playground to take the boys to play basketball, pizza and ice cream. My boys thought Richard was hilarious and enjoyed spending time with him. Richard was on time, responsive and patient with my children’s needs. Will definitely have Richard care for my boys again if back in Seattle. 

Richard watched my two daughters (6 and 4) while we were visiting the Seattle area for a wedding. Leading up to the night of babysitting, we chatted via text a few times and he was very responsive and made me feel good about hiring him. He asked questions about the girls and their routine that would help prepare him for the night. 

Richard arrived on time and was a great help with getting the girls situated before I left. His interactions with them left me feeling comfortable about him watching them. 

My kids said they had a great time and enjoyed playing with Richard. Richard brought some games to play with the girls. They said he made them laugh while they were playing dolls with him too. I felt assured that he was taking good care of them as well. I would definitely hire him again! 

Richard recently watched my 2 boys ages 5 and 6. He was very communicative in the lead up to the event, we did a phone interview in advance to get to know each other. According to my boys, they played soccer and Gaga ball and their favorite was "doing back flips". He also read stories before bed and made sure they brushed their teeth and managed the bedtime routine. He also didn't mind when our puppy tried to jump on him. The boys said they liked him because he was funny. We will be reaching out again to hire for the future. Thanks!

He was great! I needed a last minute sitter and he was flexible, professional, and eager. He was able to work with my schedule in such short notice! I appreciated that. My son and him played and my son wants to hang it with Richard again. Will continue to hire Richard and you should too.

Richard babysat our two boys, 8 and 11, for an evening.  He was very easy to talk to, personable, and got along great with the kids.  Would definitely hire him again.
