I am a very compassionate, caring and honest person. I enjoy working with seniors to help them remain as independent as possible. I had the pleasure of caring for an 80-year-old woman with Alzheimer's & helped with light cleaning, meal prep & medication management. I would take her shopping, to hair appointments & I also walked & cared for her dog. I offered companionship & would sit with her & just listen to her tell stories of the past. Although short lived, this job really gave me insight into the life of someone living with Alzheimer's & how their family handles the situation. It was a great experience & I will always have fond memories of her! Experience working with seniors as a Rehabilitation Technician at NCH Hospital assisting patients with their daily exercises, walking & post-op care & safety practices.
