About Rebecca

I am a retired National Board Certified science teacher with 28 years in the high school classroom. My approach to teaching is to guide the students thru the material in such a way that they want to learn it, even if it's hard. This approach is differentiated and individualized to help them meet their personal growth goals in learning, but more importantly I teach students to believe in themselves as much as I believe in them. This self confidence allows them to move forward and become more independent, life long learners. The best way to do this, I've found, is to be entertaining. I tend to be a high energy person, so my lessons are full of hands-on, kinetic activities mixed with some Broadway level performances that make it fun and easy for students to work smart, not hard.
