My name is Sarah and I have my Master's in Elementary Education and have taught in the Thompson School District for 5 years. I've taught both 2nd and 5th grade, teaching all core subject areas- reading, writing, math, science, and social studies as well as social/emotional skills. I am also trained in the Orton Gillingham Approach to teaching reading. I have been tutoring children of all ages for many years, and now I'm home with my children and have flexibility to tutor more. If you are looking for a tutor who is patient and knowledgeable, then send me a message! I also believe it is really important to connect with children and build a relationship with them. Working with children is my passion, especially when I can help them grow in their understanding and love for learning. Often some one on one time to review or reteach content can go a long way in helping a child to grow academically. Many of my tutoring students have shown tremendous growth in their academic achievements.

After 5th grade, my daughter was not up to grade level in her math skills. Sarah worked with her over the summer and completely got her caught up. My daughter has received all A's in math in both 6th and 7th grade and a huge part of it is thanks to Sarah. Mostly, she gave my daughter confidence and made math fun. Its been two years since we worked with Sarah and my daughter still talks about her. We are so thankful that we were able to have Sarah as a tutor. Just a short time with her made a huge difference in our daughter's life.
