About Rachel

Hi there! I live in Capitol Hill and usually get around by biking and taking public transportation. I am currently available Fridays after 5 p.m. and anytime on the weekends. I have four nieces and nephew ranging from newborn to 12 years old so I'm comfortable around kids of all ages. I started babysitting in middle school so I've been babysitting on and off for about 15 years now. I spent summers in high school and college lifeguarding, swim coaching, and running a sports camp. Prior to graduate school, I served as a maternal and childhood health Peace Corps Volunteer in Senegal working mostly with children under five and pregnant women. I speak French and Wolof. I taught English in France for two years. I enjoy reading, knitting, swimming, cooking, hiking and biking. I am happy to provide references.
