About Rachel

Hi, my name is Rachel. I grew up in Memphis, moved away for college (to LA and DC) and now I am back for the foreseeable future. I worked at Streets Ministries as a staff member for their after school reading programs from 2015 to 2017, so I have lots of experience with elementary curriculum and behavior. I love learning from children and watching them grow. While at Streets, I coordinated curriculum for reading comprehension, basic math skills, and literacy. When I moved to Malibu, California for college in 2017 I worked at a program called Hand in Hand at the Malibu Jewish Synagogue and Center. It was a program for developmentally disabled young adults, so I worked closely with people with Autism. I am very flexible and I am open to everyone. I have lots of experience with lots of different types of kids and I would be especially honored to work with families right now during this uncertain time. I am always open to questions or concerns. Since 2020 I've worked full time as a nanny.
