About Olya

A lifelong interest in human relationships led me to abandon a cozy bookkeeping career for a degree in neuroscience and psychology and a relationship coach certification. Yet, my passion is contributing to the wellness and growth of children, something I discovered way back in 2014, when I spent a year caring for my niece and nephew (ages 16 months and 8 years) in Germany. I hold a Nurturing Nanny certificate from the RIE Institute in Los Angeles and believe in the cardinal rule of discipline, "connection before correction". In other words, to me, behavior is an expression of needs, and my top priorities are the child's safety and emotion regulation. I am mature, patient, communicative, and reliable. On a less serious note, I thoroughly enjoy hanging out with kids, tending to their needs, and encouraging their curiosity and self-expression. My favorite perk of nannying is the endless opportunities for silliness and play.
